David Ellis is an experienced energy and technology executive with more than 30 years in utilities, clean energy and private equity. He has held multiple CEO, board and advisory roles across the U.S., Africa and Asia, leading organizations through innovation and operational transformation.

David began his career as a founder of Enerwise Global Technologies, later serving as Chairman and Managing Director of Comverge International, and as President & CEO of Entergy New Orleans. He now advises investors and portfolio companies on growth, governance and energy transition strategy.

He holds an MBA from Eastern University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from Penn State University.

Rachna Singh joined H2scan in 2025 as a senior financial executive, bringing over two decades of experience in strategic finance. She has successfully guided organizations through growth, integrations, and turnarounds, while building strong financial infrastructures and securing capital to support expansion.

Prior to joining H2scan, Rachna served as CFO for several companies, including PPI Business Services and OFR, Inc., and held senior finance roles at Pan American Bank and Central Valley Community Bank. She has also worked as a consulting and interim CFO for clients in the manufacturing and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries—helping companies scale, multiply in size, and prepare for public offerings.

Rachna currently serves as Treasurer for the California State Council of SHRM. Her leadership extends beyond finance, having served as President of her local SHRM chapter, as a board director and CFO for CALTERRA, and as an active member of IMA and CalCPA.

She holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, along with an accounting certificate from UC Berkeley.

Michael has over 35 years of senior executive experience in many different industries including industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas production and operations, oil & gas equipment and service, alternative energy, and high technology. He’s responsible for sales, business development, marketing, and corporate and business strategies.

John joined H2scan in 2023 as Vice President of Engineering.  With over 20 years of experience, John is an accomplished engineering professional with success in developing and leading multi-disciplined engineering project teams. John has an insatiable passion for customer experience, product development and industrial design.

Prior to H2scan, John was Director of Product Engineering and Manufacturing at the Kromek Group and Director of Engineering at MSA – The Safety Company / General Monitors.  John earned his BSME and MSIE at the University of Pittsburgh and his MBA at Duquesne University.

Abdallah Zakaria is a semiconductor engineering leader with more than 20 years of experience in advanced manufacturing, process engineering, and research and development within the semiconductor industry. He currently serves as Director of R&D Engineering at H2scan Corporation, where he leads the development and fabrication of semiconductor-based hydrogen sensors and drives process improvements using advanced statistical analysis and failure investigation methodologies.

Throughout his career, he has held leadership and technical roles at companies including EMCORE, Mellanox Technologies, and Spectrolab (Boeing), where he managed wafer fabrication operations, thin-film and epitaxial processes, and new product development programs for technologies used in telecommunications, aerospace, sensing, and renewable energy applications.

Dr. Zakaria holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and his expertise spans semiconductor materials, MOCVD growth, silicon photonics, and process optimization, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and operational excellence.

Rani Mouchamel is the Director of Production at H2scan. Rani is an experienced production leader with a passion for driving innovation and excellence in production. His expertise encompasses a spectrum of skills including Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Lean Six Sigma.

Prior to his tenure at H2scan, Rani served in various operation roles at Dolby Laboratories and Doremi Laboratories, where he honed his skills for assembling the right teams and tackling critical challenges to optimize processes and maximize efficiency. He holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Cal State Northridge, and holds the Project Management (PMP)® certification.
