Welcome to the April 2024 issue of the H2scan Digest
A Note from H2scan CEO Dave Meyers
- The IEEE is a great place to launch new products! We’ll be introducing three new products designed to improve Transformer Fleet asset management. The new products use our industry-leading hydrogen technology and add important sensor modalities, displays, IoT connectivity and supporting software applications. With these turnkey solutions, utilities and transformer monitoring OEMS can seamlessly integrate H2scan’s solutions into their existing infrastructure without the need for complex configurations or additional equipment.
- This is an excellent opportunity for us to continue our market education on how low-cost, critical gas monitoring enables fleet-wide transformer asset management. Our vision is starting to take hold with multiple utilities adopting our solutions to improve electric grid reliability and lower OPEX cost while improving overall safety for the community and their staff.
- We’re excited to celebrate a significant milestone with our colleagues, showcasing the reliability and robustness of our sensors with over 1.3 billion hours of field-proven service for our solid-state sensor technology. This should be welcome news to our utility friends at this show since reliable hydrogen measurement plays a pivotal role in transformer health monitoring.
- Two of our H2scan team members are significant contributors to IEEE. Traci Hopkins, Sales Manager Latin America and Leon White, VP Transformer Product Sales, are IEEE Senior Members. They support various task forces and IEEE sub-committees, including the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES).
