GSAO-1 Analog Output Module

Integrate Seamlessly for Analog Signals

The GSAO-1 Analog Output Module enables H2scan’s GRIDSCAN® 5000 hydrogen sensors to integrate seamlessly with legacy monitoring and data acquisition systems that rely on analog signals, providing a cost-effective solution for retrofit applications. The GSAO-1 also provides a cyber security air-gap where IED’s cannot be interconnected digitally.

Key Features:

  • Configurable analog outputs (4-20mA or 0-5V DC)
  • Customizable output scaling for precise monitoring
  • IP68-rated enclosure for harsh environments
  • Operating temperatures of 40°C to 70°C (104°F to 158°F)
  • Magnetic mounting capability and easy installation
  • Compatible with a variety of insulating liquid types
  • LED status indicators

The GSAO-1 Analog Output Module allows H2scan’s modern GRIDSCAN 5000 transformer monitors to be used with established infrastructure that only supports analog inputs.

System engineers can adjust the 4-20mA signal to represent various full-scale values (100 ppm to 5000 ppm), providing enhanced resolution for precise monitoring of transformer health across different age profiles and operating conditions.

The GSAO-1’s IP68-rated construction ensures reliable operation in challenging outdoor environments. Its compact form factor and magnetic mounting capability support straightforward installation on transformer surfaces or within control cabinets. The module includes LED indicators for power and service status, clearly confirming proper operation.

The GSAO-1 is particularly valuable for facilities maintaining mixed-generation infrastructure, where modern communications protocols like Modbus and DNP3 coexist with legacy analog systems. Its modular design approach eliminates unnecessary complexity, reducing installation time and maintenance requirements while enabling facilities to maintain cost-effective hydrogen monitoring capabilities.
