Transformer Monitoring

The HyView display pairs with a GRIDSCAN 5000 Hydrogen Sensor to provide local indication of Hydrogen and oil temperature data. The HyView includes an alarm output which allows customers to easily wire alarms into SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). The HyView/GRIDSCAN 5000 combination provides users real-time health information on their transformers, in a reliable, user-friendly package. The package provides users with a low-cost and reliable option compared to most online monitors in the market.

Battery Room Monitoring

Battery room hydrogen safety efforts benefit from the HyView product when combined with H2scan’s HY-ALERTA 5021 hydrogen area monitor. According to the International Fire Code, hazardous mitigation plans determine the need for hydrogen detection and evacuation to limit maximum concentration to 25% Lower Flammability Limit (LFL) or 1% of total room volume in battery rooms. Continuous ventilation may be avoided by installing continuous hydrogen monitoring utilizing solutions like H2scan’s HY-ALERTA and HyView products. HY-ALERTA meets all code requirements, including continuous monitoring to keep hydrogen below 25% LFL, communications to activate exhaust fans, and Modbus communication to meet annunciation requirements.

Features

HyView has a five digit upper display, a seven alpha-numeric character lower display, and is available with a 20-segment bar graph for level applications. This dual-line display can be easily scaled in the field for any 4-20 mA analog input. HyView’s wide viewing angle display and SafeTouch® through-glass buttons create a simple and convenient user experience. These buttons allow the HyView to be programmed and operated through the front panel, thus eliminating the need to remove the cover in hazardous areas.
